Public transportation
The unofficial motto of the Portland region might be: There’s more than one way to get there from here. The car is often a last resort, given the region’s exceptional mass transit system that includes buses, light rail, streetcars and an aerial tram. And, of course, there’s the bicycle, the preferred transportation for thousands of area commuters.
